Financial Assisstance for Child Care

Helping families to afford child care is a key component of the School Readiness program. Families who meet the income requirements for the program are eligible to receive subsidized care based on a sliding-fee scale model. Parents can then choose to place their children in any of our contracted quality child care centers. Please feel free to take a look at our provider list.

Funding for our subsidized early learning programs comes from grants through state and federal government, United Way of North central Florida, The Alachua County Commissions's Community Agency Partnership Program, and The City of Gainesville's Community Development Block Grant. We also encourage and gratefully acknowledge private contributions of individuals committed to quality early learning for children at risk for abuse, neglect, or poverty.
