Infant Toddler Program

This Program involves five child care programs who are selected for this four-month project. These programs receive intensive weekly visits incorporating developmentally appropriate experiences (activities) with the children. ELC staff models, coaches and mentors classroom teachers.

Participating teachers evaluate their practices, interactions and environments and become more skilled in aligning their curricula with the Florida Birth to 3 Learning and Developmental Standards. Directors and classroom teachers also learn how to use the Infant Toddler environmental Rating Scale (ITERS) assessment tool as a self-study in preparation for accreditation.
